World Day of Mothertounge Language
Dimitrije Vujadinovic, director of BalkanKult, participated in the Round Table on the theme Protection of Authors Rights in the Field of Traditional Knowledge organized on the occasion of World Day of Mothertounge Language on 21st February 2004 in Gallery Babka in Kovacica, etno center of Slovacian minority.
Series of Round Tables: Protection of Author's Rights in Culture
BalkanKult and the Cultural Center of Belgrade are going to realize, in following several months, the serial of round tables about regulations for maintenance and improvement of local cultural environment. The serial will be held in form of expert analysis of positive legislature in culture, i.e. public discussion about coming proposals and drafts of bill in this field.
The objective of the serial is articulation of problems and proposition of solution for new cultural policy.
The first cycle of four round tables named “Protection of Author's Rights in Culture” is going to be dedicated to the questions of copyrights, i.e. intellectual property in the field of literature, traditional knowledge and skills, visual arts (with stress on the design), film and theatrical arts.

The tribune is inspired by a number of problems in this field, as well as with a fact of necessity of bringing into ccordance our and European legislative standards.
