Balkankult foundation from Belgrade is presenting exhibition "Ancient heritage Vojvodina - cultural continuity" in the italian cultural center in Belgrade from 15th December to 08th January 2010.

Exhibition was held in June 2009 in Monfalcone in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region as part of the tradicional Summer festival in that italian town. Vojvodina and the italian Friuli-Venezia Giulia region have a long history of cooperation, as borne out by a protocol formally signed last year.

The exhbition authors were artist Mirjana Rankovic and archaeologist Maja Djordjevic.

Thousands of Roman stories and fates remain buried underground here and just as many soldiers and citizens of ancient Rome. These ruins tell us about the once mighty Roman Empire, about man's transience as well as about the uninterrupted continuity of cultures, the reflextion of which we can still observe today. This than is the story told by the exhbition.
