Cultural Bridge of the Balkans
Cultural programmes link us with Europe: Dimitrije Vujadinovic, the director of Balkankult
The foundation Balkankult, founded this year, will continue the initiated work on building cultural bridges inside the region of the west Balkans, which was being accomplished by the regional association with the same name, said Dimitrije Vujadinovic, the director of Balkankult. Speaking of the plans of the foundation, Vujadinovic mentiones Lapland Cultural Days, first in Belgrade and then in the whole region of the west Balkans, and Icelandic Cultural Days that will be organized in collaboration with Nordic Council of Ministers.

Message to the authorities: culture is not an expense
The Green Book of the European network Meeting, published in our country by Balkankult, represents, in a certain way, the instructions to cultural envoys, but, above all, to the representatives of the authorities. Metaphorically speaking, Uros Djuric has said that our cultural policies and we are approaching the war with parties and politicians.

Cultural policies and decentralization
On the grandstand Basis of the New Reality, held yesterday, in Belgrade gallery Artget, new ideas and projects that deal with issues of cultural policies and decentralization were presented. The motive for this manifestation is publication of Serbian translation of the Green Book, the document that contains the proposals of the representatives of 250 European cities and regions, united in Meetings network. The book was published as a part of the edition Cultural Policies, supported by the foundation Balkankult and the Ministry of Culture.

Following the Green Book
The grandstand Basis of the New Reality, which deals with cultural policies of the local and regional authorities in Europe
The theme was discussed by French guest Roger Tropeano, the president of Meetings network that includes 250 cities and regions; culturologist, professor PhD Branimir Stojkovic; painter Uros Djuric; Ksenija Graovac from Balkankult and Vesna Danilovic, editor in Belgrade Cultural Centre. Artists, representatives of professional associations and public and cultural workers attended the discussion.

Strong ministries of culture are needed
The Green Book is the product of the three-year work of the experts in the field of culture, which come from more than 25 countries. In our country, Balkankult, which publishes the books that deal with cultural policies, published the book and the Ministry of Culture also supported its publication.

Graphic Bridge
The exhibition of graphics Ex libris – tribel I called Bridge was inaugurated in the gallery of the National Museum in Pozarevac. Artists from all the Balkan countries, except for Albania, are included in the exhibition and the project is the result of the cooperation between Belgrade foundation Balkankult and the National Museum in Pozarevac.

Creative Balkankult
The association Balkankult and the Society Exlibris Belgrade have encouraged the artists of the Balkan countries to send their works in the form exlibris that would follow the theme Bridge.
More than 200 artists with more than 400 works from all the countries of the Balkans, except for Albania, have responded our appeal, said Dimitrije Vujadinovic, the director of Balkankult, at the inauguration of the exhibition.
