This publication is a combination of texts from two books: The Ninth Millennium Goal (2009) and Personal Attitude, Notes on Cultural Policy (2015), which cover the topic of cultural policy and cultural diplomacy. From problems with budget allocation, the status of freelance artists, the situation in cultural institutions to international cultural contributions, the principles of operation of private museums… The period covered is from 2001 to 2015. The content of these two books is a selection of texts published in daily and weekly print media – Politika, Danas, NIN, CoRD, Nedeljnik. The motives for updating these texts are multiple. Most of the published texts, unfortunately, have not lost much of their relevance and provide contextuality to contemporary events. If a phenomenon or event is taken out of context, it can be interpreted in different ways. But, if observed in the processes of temporal and social context, it shows clearer meanings and gains contextuality.
