Conversation on the occasion of the exhibition and monograph Forgotten Heroes of the First World War. Who were the heroes of the Great War? For me, the entire Serbian people were heroes, from soldiers and officers who were at the front, doctors and nurses, to women, girls, old people and children who stayed at home and suffered the outrageous terror of the occupiers. Many of them did not see the end of the war! What is the fate of survivors, especially widows, orphans and disabled people after the Great War? Were the noblest ideals, which guided them through battles or braved to withstand the terror of the occupiers, valued and incorporated into the foundations of the newly created state.
