ARTS AND EDUCATION NETWORK
It is a forum for the creation of a European system of mutual exchange of information, encounter and co-operation between experts in arts and education who are willing and ready to become active in the new and increasingly professionalised field of activity arts and education. Arts and education is a complex and at the same time an expert and political field that has not yet been mapped out in detail. Aims: +Developing models and exemplary success stories for the promotion of innovations conducive to manifold partnerships between arts, culture, and education, +Creating a new diversity of methods for artistic interventions in educational processes, +Promoting research, reflection and documentation in arts and education, +Measures in favour of lobbying or political consulting with an arts and education focus, +Integrating artists from all fields into educational processes, +Creating new employment opportunities, especially for artists and teachers by developing new qualification courses (enlargement of vocational horizon), +Improving the quality of cultural and aesthetical education in Europe, +Participation of European citizens in cultural life. Activities: +Organising a representative inventory of all institutions, organisations, initiatives and also selected individuals in Europe who have so far worked in the field of arts and education, +The systematic exchange of information between art, cultural, and educational institutions (and their representatives) in Europe, +Initiating new forms of co-operation between those active in artsandeducation with a special focus on the new, electronic forms of communication, +Creating a common platform for the regular exchange of experiences or comparative study of methods and models in arts and education, +Presenting selected, high-quality and innovative projects (success stories). |
