AUDIOVISUAL EUREKA

Audiovisual Eureka is a pan-European inter-governmental organisation which has 34 member countries as well as the European Commission and the Council of Europe as associate members. This initiatives was launched in 1989 in Paris.

Mission:
To contribute towards the development of a vast European area for co-operation and exchanges in the audiovisual sector.

Aims:
+Research in the areas of the effect of the digital revolution on production and distribution methods of audiovisual and cinematographic works,
+World-wide exchanges and the preservation of cultural identities and the diversity of images,
+Maximisation of public and private funds in financing the audiovisual industry.

Activities:
In the areas of:
-Management of the Audiovisual Company,
-Financing Mechanisms/New media,
-Distribution of European audio-visual works,
-New media,
-Euro-Mediterranean Partnership,
-West-Balkans.
