CREATIVE EXCHANGE
Creative Exchange is a UK registered charity (number 1082259) educating people about arts and culture for the relief of need. Aims: +Creative Exchange’s charitable objective is: “to educate the public in the role of arts and culture in assisting the relief of need arising from poverty, sickness, infirmity, impotence, distress or age.” Vision: + A world where arts and culture play a significant role in human development. Mission: + To advance public education about ways in which arts and culture help poor and disadvantaged people improve their quality of life. Activities: +A network: Creative Exchange connects people and organizations all over the world – from the grassroots to the UN – who are working with arts and culture to achieve social development. Creative Exchange “members” are known as partners. +An information centre: Creative Exchange collects, stores and distributes information about its field. +A professional resource: Creative Exchange sends out information about training, jobs and funding opportunities, promotes best practice and runs networking events. +An advocate: Creative Exchange lobbies for appropriate and effective use of arts and culture to achieve social change and promotes better awareness and respect for cultural rights. Publications: +Creative Exchange is a key information provider and produces a number of electronic and paper publications, reports and events to support public education in Culture and Development.
