| The National Book Centre was established in 1991 as a part of the publishing community. Its role is to be intermediary between the state and the world of books. The Centre creates and promotes the improvement of the state cultural policy in the field of literature and the new books ecenomy and actively participates in its implementation. It supports and enhances the creation of modern Bulgarian fiction, humanities and scientific and theoretical literature, national literature heritage and literature classics by funding publishing projects. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
is an information network of databases of: cultural institutions and associations, transnational foundations, networks, awards, programs, scholarship/bursary schemes, artists and competitions in over 15 artistic and cultural disciplines in South East Europe.
