The year 2002 was the year of the 30th anniversary of the May Opera Evenings Festival and 55th anniversary of the Macedonian National Theatre Opera. This is a big reason to consider this Festival as one of the most prestige manifestations on the Balkan and Europe. The program of this festival consists of opera performances, and also ballet performances, concerts with operatic arias and symphonic music.
Having in mind the repertoire of the “May Opera Evenings” as well the repertoire of the house in general, we have to be satisfied by the fact that the Opera enters the world artistic mainstream.
