| The Apollonia Art Foundation was established in 1991 as a successor to the Apollonia Art Academy. The Foundation's main activity is the organisation and realisation of the annual spring musical festivals in Sofia and the autumn Apollonia Arts Festival in Sozopol. For 16 years now from 1st to 10th September this picturesque Black Sea town is the venue of the great cultural event. The Art Festival carries its ancient name connected to god Apollonius - the patron of poetry and music. All types of arts are presented here - music, theatre, ballet, painting, literature. The Apollonia Foundation focuses mainly on the Bulgarian culture. Apollonia is the festival of premieres and of the best created by Bulgarian artists | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
is an information network of databases of: cultural institutions and associations, transnational foundations, networks, awards, programs, scholarship/bursary schemes, artists and competitions in over 15 artistic and cultural disciplines in South East Europe.
