Within the project «In the sounds of the places», jointly organised by the association «Progetto Musica» Monfalcone, Italy and BalkanKult foundation from Belgrade; delegation of the town of Zajecar has taken a role in opening of the important Balkan music and tourism event, which started in Aquileia 12 July.
The meeting was held in this town with the presence of the representatives of the town of Drach, Albania. The main topic was the project development, enhancing the cooperation between the cities, and, especially, the possibilities of the joint touristic presentation of the towns where the concerts are to be held.
The torch of peace has started its journey from Aquileia that day via Fiumicela, San Sanzian, Sbarancan, Monfalcone, Ronchy, Fogliano, Sagrado, Romanso to Medeya. At exactly 20:30 that day, in front of the Ara Pacis Munci monument (built of 800 containing the soil from the 800 war territories in the world), a music event was held under the name of «Concert for peace in the world». The orchestra was made of the musicians from the territory of the former Yugoslavia, conducted by Mr. Gianpaolo Maria Bisanti. The cello solist was Mr. Alan Meunier.
The delegation of the town of Zajecar had a meeting with the mayor of Udine, Mr. Sergio Ceccotti and the director of the AMGA concert, Mr. Antionio Nonini. Both sides were interested to find ways to cooperate in the future.
